LIP international guarantee

This conditions apply to all new LIP wrist watches -
each watch is joined by a guarantee leaflet!

You are owner of a LIP watch, mark of exception.

For its maintenance or any other intervention, we advise you to address yourself exclusively to a LIP distributor or our after-sales service.
They will use spare parts of origin and will ensure a service of optimal quality.

Your LIP watch is guaranteed two years as from the date of purchase, the notebook of guarantee duly filled by the retailer being taken.
This guarantee extends to the operation of the mechanical movement or module quartz, other than the pile, the bracelet, glass, and the case (for gildings lower than 3 microns)
This guarantee excludes the deteriorations resulting from accidents, the interventions out of Services LIP, and if the movement presents traces of rust for the nontight watches.
The guarantee is not valid only if it is duly filled by a salesman and that it accompanies the product.
The conditions of the guarantee specified above let remain integrally the rights of recourse of the purchaser on the hidden defects, in accordance with article 1641 of the French Civil code

Your LIP watch

You have just acquired a LIP watch, clock making French mark since 1867. This watch of quality underwent all the technical inspections which will bring greatest satisfaction to you.

The Councils of use

They will enable you to preserve the correct operation of your quartz watch:
- Take care to avoid too significant variations in temperature (exposure to the sun followed by an abrupt cooling...) who can damage the joints and to compromise the sealing of the tight watches, maybe also modifying the precision of the quartz crystal.
- To avoid too significant shocks.

For watertight watches

- Verify that the winding crown is not drawn in position of adjustment before any immersion.
- do not proceed to a setting of the hour during an immersion, nor even immediately after, when the watch is still wet.
- moisture can appear temporarily by condensation on the internal surface of the glass. This does not blame the sealing of the watch. However, if this moisture persists, the joints should be checked.

Classification of sealing

- water resistant / 30 meters: accidental contacts with water allowed (rain, splashes.)
- From 50 m: swimming/snorkeling
- from 100 m: diving

Interventions

In no case yourself open your watch. Only a professional must intervene.

Battery

If your watch stops or delays, it is normally enough to make change the pile by a professional.

The conditions of guarantee of the other brands are about similar.
For watches restored by us provided with a guarantee these conditions are applicable, with the exception of the watertightness, for which we will take no responsability. Guarantee time is shown in the article's description, and is not 2 years in general!
